About
NOX Consortium
NOX Consortium creates vibrant and immersive classical music experiences throughout the greater San Diego area, with a focus on song-as-theater and opera.
Each event is crafted by the artists performing it and reimagines the ways in which classical music is presented to audiences. By partnering with local organizations and venues, NOX presents its works in thematically curated spaces, incorporating operatic and sensory elements into every performance.
The resulting events are distinct, memorable, and intimate.
The artists of NOX have a track record of creating unique opera and concert experiences in San Diego, both as a group and individually. The founding members—Alexandra Rodrick, Anthony Whitson-Martini, and Michelle Law—are all opera singers who trained at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.
Past notable projects include a fully-staged, immersive production of Le Nozze di Figaro in 2017, a concert series called LA CENA È PRONTA (2019-2021), which explored the connection between food and music, and the Mosaic recital series in 2022, focusing on how synesthetes experience sound and visuals through music.
NOX Consortium was born out of a desire to continue this tradition of collaboration, creativity, and artistic freedom, and to invite audiences in to the irreplaceable collective experience of live music.
